Numbers you see too late

If the only time you really see your numbers is at tax time, every insight arrives a year after it could have changed something.

Pricing by gut

You quote what feels right, what the last guy charged, what the customer will bear — while your actual margin per job stays a mystery doing quiet damage.

The growth cliff

More sales, new hire, second truck — growth decisions made without a forecast are how busy businesses run out of cash while "doing great."

CFO advice, corporate prices

The guidance exists — it's just been priced for companies with a finance department. Local businesses get a tax bill and a "good luck."

How we fix it

A numbers partner. Four honest conversations a year.

Steven spent over a decade as a financial analyst — budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling — before bringing that toolkit to Southwest Florida's small businesses. Advisory is that skill set applied to your shop, your restaurant, your crew: quarterly, in plain language, in English or Spanish.

Quarterly reviews Budgeting & forecasting Estimated taxes planned On-call between quarters

The one-roof advantage: when the same office keeps your books and files your return, the advisory conversation starts from numbers that are already true — no prep work, no stale data.

Sit down with the quarter

Ninety minutes, four times a year — what came in, what went out, what changed, and what surprised us both.

A scorecard you can read

Margins, cash position, and the two or three numbers that actually run your business — one page, plain language, both languages.

Taxes planned, not survived

Your estimated payment for the quarter is calculated in the room — so April is just another meeting, not a reckoning.

Decisions, on call

New lease? Big purchase? Price increase? Call before you decide — running the numbers first is the whole point of having us.

Before your first review

What to bring

  • Recent financial reports — or bank statements, and we'll build the reports first
  • Last year's business tax return
  • Your price list or your three biggest recent jobs — real examples beat averages
  • The one question that keeps you up at night — that's where we start

No reports at all? Start with our bookkeeping catch-up and your first advisory review is built into the handoff.

Advisory questions

Asked every week in our office

What does a business advisor actually do?

We turn your numbers into decisions: what your real margins are, whether that job or client is profitable, when you can afford to hire, and what to set aside for taxes. It's the quarterly conversation big companies pay a CFO for — sized and priced for a local business.

How is advisory different from bookkeeping?

Bookkeeping records what happened; advisory decides what to do about it. The books produce the report — the advisory sit-down is where we read it together, spot the trend, and plan the next quarter. They work best as one rhythm, from one office.

Do I need to be a bookkeeping client to get advisory?

No — bring your reports from wherever they live, or let us build them first. It works best when we also keep the books, because the numbers are already clean and current, but a standalone quarterly review is a fine way to start.

How often do we meet, and what do I get?

Quarterly, in person or by phone, in English or Spanish. You leave each review with a plain-language scorecard, your estimated tax number for the quarter, and two or three specific actions — not a binder you'll never open.
