What do I need to get a document notarized?
Bring a valid, unexpired photo ID and the complete, unsigned document — you sign in front of the notary, not before. If other people need to sign, they come too, each with their own ID. Walk-ins are welcome during office hours.
Do you help with apostilles?
Yes. We can help determine whether your document needs an apostille and assist with the preparation process. Apostilles are commonly required for documents being used in another country, such as birth certificates, marriage certificates, powers of attorney, school records, and other official documents.
If you're unsure what is needed, bring your document and any instructions you received, and we'll help guide you through the next steps.
Is a notary public the same as a notario público?
No — and the difference matters. In the U.S., a notary public verifies identities and witnesses signatures but is not a lawyer. In much of Latin America, a notario público is a licensed legal professional. We're honest about that line, and we'll tell you plainly when your situation needs an attorney.
Can you help me prepare divorce or family documents?
We prepare and organize the paperwork — carefully, confidentially, and in your language — using the information you provide. What we don't do is give legal advice or represent you; if your situation is contested or complex, we'll say so and point you toward an attorney.
